A Proud North Carolinian
Ted Budd is a proud North Carolinian who grew up on a cattle and commercial chicken farm in Davie County, shaped from an early age by faith, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Wake Forest University, Senator Budd brings a rare combination of theological grounding and business acumen to the U.S. Senate.
Before ever seeking public office, Budd built a career in the private sector, most notably reviving a bankrupt gun range that became a thriving community resource. That outsider perspective drove his 2016 election to Congress, where he quickly established himself as a dependable conservative voice for North Carolina's working families. After three terms in the House, North Carolinians sent him to the Senate in 2022.
